Exploring themes such as beauty, sexuality, and identity, Ana Jenkins’ photographs focus on femininity and ritual, on what it means to be (and feel like) a woman. Inspired by Ellen Von Unwerth, Bunny Yeager and Olivia de Bernardis, as well as her experiences as a Latina woman, Ana aims to reinvent and question conventional standards of beauty, looking to empower her subjects with the sensuality and power inside every woman. Her pin-up portraiture, in particular, gives her the opportunity to defy conventional expectations of beauty and social standards, not only for herself but for her clients, some of whom have never experienced the pin-up style before. Every shot is different because every woman is different in their own exhilarating way. Her photographs have been published internationally in both digital and print formats and is currently booking sessions in both pin-up and wedding portraiture. – Dahlia Schweitzer
